Delegations wishing to inscribe themselves on the list of speakers for the thematic debate and the introduction of draft resolutions are kindly requested to contact Ms. Cherub Nicholls(tel. 1(212) 963-0388).
The Chairman: Yesterday I asked delegations to use the clusters from last year as an informal guideline for the thematic discussion and introduction of draft resolutions over the next six meetings scheduled for this stage of the Committee's work.
The list of speakers is now closed for the second phase of the Committee ' s work, on structured discussions of specific subjects on the adopted thematic approach on disarmament and international security agenda items and introduction of draft resolutions and decisions.
Consequently, that is reflected in document A/C.1/61/CRP.6/Rev.1. Thus, the Committee will have at its disposal a total of nine meetings, instead of 10, for thematic discussions and the introduction of draft resolutions.
Afterwards, we will resume the formal meeting and proceed to the second part, consisting of interventions by delegations on the specific subject under discussion and the introduction of draft resolutions and decisions.
In this regard, I would like to point out that this meeting, as well as those scheduled for this afternoon, for Wednesday, 6 November, and for Thursday, 7 November, have been allocated for the introduction of draft resolutions and for comments on them.
In this connection I should like to point out that today ' s meetings, as well as those scheduled for Tuesday, 7 November, and Wednesday, 8 November, are to be devoted to the introduction of draft resolutions and to comments on them.

The list of speakers is open for the second phase of the Committee ' s work, which will focus on structured discussions of specific subjects on the adopted thematic approach on disarmament and international security agenda items and introduction of draft resolutions and decisions, to be held from Thursday, 17, to Tuesday, 29 October 2013.
The Committee agreed on its indicative timetable for its second stage of work, namely the" Indicative timetable for structured discussion of specific subjects on the adopted thematic approach on disarmament and international security agenda items(items 86 to 103) and introduction of draft resolutions and decisions", as contained in document A/C.1/64/CRP.1.
In addition to the introduction of draft resolutions, the structured debate could be used for follow-up of the implementation of the resolutions adopted in previous years, and for hearing statements by the Secretariat on subjects on which reports have been requested from the Secretary-General, and by the directors of the regional centres for disarmament.
I would also like to add that if there is sufficient time left after the Committee concludes its thematic discussion of a specific subject and the introduction of draft resolutions for any given meeting, we could continue
