At the time of submission of this report, 190 Member States of the United Nations had received a preliminary implementation assessment and the Committee expects to approve the remaining ones during the next months.
The Committee Chair briefed the Council about the recent work done by the Committee, including special meetings held in Strasbourg and New York in 2011, as well as the efforts to revise the format of preliminary implementation assessments.
