അപ്പോള്‍ അദ്ദേഹം അവര്‍ക്കുവേണ്ടി ആടുകളെ വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പിച്ചു. പിന്നീട് ഒരു തണലില്‍ ചെന്നിരുന്ന് ഇങ്ങനെ പ്രാര്‍ഥിച്ചു:" എന്റെ നാഥാ,

So Moses watered their flocks for them; and returned into the shade and prayed,"Lord, I am truly
അങ്ങനെ അവര്‍ക്കു വേണ്ടി അദ്ദേഹം( അവരുടെ കാലികള്‍ക്ക്‌) വെള്ളം കൊടുത്തു. പിന്നീടദ്ദേഹം തണലിലേക്ക് മാറിയിരുന്നിട്ട് ഇപ്രകാരം പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിച്ചു:

And flocks shall lie down in the midst of her,
അതിന്റെ നടുവില്‍ ആട്ടിന്‍ കൂട്ടങ്ങളും നാനാജാതി മൃഗങ്ങളും കിടക്കും;

So he watered(their flocks) for them, then he turned back to shade, and said:"My Lord! Truly,
അപ്പോള്‍ അദ്ദേഹം അവര്‍ക്കുവേണ്ടി ആടുകളെ വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പിച്ചു. പിന്നീട് ഒരു തണലില്‍ ചെന്നിരുന്ന് ഇങ്ങനെ പ്രാര്‍ഥിച്ചു:" എന്റെ നാഥാ,

he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver,
അവന്‍ അവന്നു ആടു, മാടു,

Then he watered their flocks for the twain. Then he turned aside into the shade, and said:
അങ്ങനെ അവര്‍ക്കു വേണ്ടി അദ്ദേഹം( അവരുടെ കാലികള്‍ക്ക്‌) വെള്ളം കൊടുത്തു. പിന്നീടദ്ദേഹം തണലിലേക്ക് മാറിയിരുന്നിട്ട് ഇപ്രകാരം പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിച്ചു:

On hearing this Moses watered their flocks for them, and then returned in a shaded place and said:"My Lord,
അപ്പോള്‍ അദ്ദേഹം അവര്‍ക്കുവേണ്ടി ആടുകളെ വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പിച്ചു. പിന്നീട് ഒരു തണലില്‍ ചെന്നിരുന്ന് ഇങ്ങനെ പ്രാര്‍ഥിച്ചു:" എന്റെ നാഥാ,

അവന്‍ വെളിന്‍ പ്രദേശത്തു ഒരു കിണറ് കണ്ടു. അതിന്നരികെ മൂന്നു ആട്ടിന്‍ കൂട്ടം കിടക്കുന്നു. ആ കിണറ്റില്‍നിന്നു ആയിരുന്നു ആട്ടിന്‍ കൂട്ടങ്ങള്‍ക്കു വെള്ളം കൊടുക്കുന്നതു; എന്നാല്‍ കിണറ്റിന്റെ വായ്ക്കലുള്ള കല്ലു വലുതായിരുന്നു.

Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks?
പറയേണ്ടതുയഹോവയായ കര്‍ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുതങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ മേയിക്കുന്ന യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ഇടയന്മാര്‍ക്കും അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! ആടുകളെ അല്ലയോ ഇടയന്മാര്‍ മേയിക്കേണ്ടതു?

അവന്‍ വെളിന്‍ പ്രദേശത്തു ഒരു കിണറ് കണ്ടു. അതിന്നരികെ മൂന്നു ആട്ടിന്‍ കൂട്ടം കിടക്കുന്നു. ആ കിണറ്റില്‍നിന്നു ആയിരുന്നു ആട്ടിന്‍ കൂട്ടങ്ങള്‍ക്കു വെള്ളം കൊടുക്കുന്നതു; എന്നാല്‍ കിണറ്റിന്റെ വായ്ക്കലുള്ള കല്ലു വലുതായിരുന്നു.

And when he came to the waters of Midian he found a company of the people there drawing water, and he found, apart from them, two women holding back their flocks. He said,'What is your business?' They said,'We may not draw water until the shepherds drive off;
മദ്‌യനിലെ ജലാശയത്തിങ്കല്‍ അദ്ദേഹം ചെന്നെത്തിയപ്പോള്‍ ആടുകള്‍ക്ക് വെള്ളം കൊടുത്ത് കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു കൂട്ടം ആളുകളെ അതിന്നടുത്ത് അദ്ദേഹം കണ്ടെത്തി. അവരുടെ ഇപ്പുറത്തായി( തങ്ങളുടെ ആട്ടിന്‍ പറ്റത്തെ) തടഞ്ഞു നിര്‍ത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന രണ്ട് സ്ത്രീകളെയും അദ്ദേഹം കണ്ടു. അദ്ദേഹം ചോദിച്ചു: എന്താണ് നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രശ്നം? അവര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു: ഇടയന്‍മാര്‍( ആടുകള്‍ക്ക് വെള്ളം കൊടുത്ത്‌)

And when he arrived at the water of Madyan, he found there a community of the people watering. And he found, apart from them, two women keeping back their flocks. He said: what aileth you twain! The twain said:
മദ്‌യനിലെ ജലാശയത്തിങ്കല്‍ അദ്ദേഹം ചെന്നെത്തിയപ്പോള്‍ ആടുകള്‍ക്ക് വെള്ളം കൊടുത്ത് കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു കൂട്ടം ആളുകളെ അതിന്നടുത്ത് അദ്ദേഹം കണ്ടെത്തി. അവരുടെ ഇപ്പുറത്തായി( തങ്ങളുടെ ആട്ടിന്‍ പറ്റത്തെ) തടഞ്ഞു നിര്‍ത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന രണ്ട് സ്ത്രീകളെയും അദ്ദേഹം കണ്ടു. അദ്ദേഹം ചോദിച്ചു:

Sheperds Watched Their Flocks.
Watched Their Flocks രാക്കാലം ആട് മേയ്പ്പന്മാ ർ.

Beside the Flocks of thy Companions.
എന്തായാല്‍ എനിക്കെന്തു ്.

He has given you flocks and sons.
കന്നുകാലികളും സന്താനങ്ങളും മുഖേന അവന്‍ നിങ്ങളെ സഹായിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

The shepherds went back to their fields and their flocks.
അതോടെ സൂഫികള്‍ അവരുടെ വര്‍ണ്ണശാലകളിലേക്കും കാടുകളിലേക്കും മടങ്ങി.
