Two Israelis prophets, Hazrat Daud(AS) and Hazrat Eisa(AS) have been cited in the holy Quran to have cursed a group of their nation for not forbidding each other from evil doings and sins.
بنی اسرائیل میں سے ایک طائفے پر دو جلیل القدر پیغمبروں، حضرت داوُد اور حضرت عیسی علیہما السلام کی زبانی لعنت کی گئی۔ اور اُس جماعت کے جرم جو قرآن مجید میں بیان کیا گیا، وہ یہ تھا کہ یہ برائی کے کاموں سے ایک دوسرے کو روکا نہیں کرتے تھےsave me from Pharaoh and his doings and save me from those that do wrong""- Qur'an, Chapter 66 At-Tahrim: Verse 11.
میں مکان بنا اور مجھے فرعون Your Lord is All-Forgiving, full of mercy. Had He wished to take them to task for their doings, He would have hastened in sending His scourge upon them.
اور تمہارا پروردگار بخشنے والا صاحب رحمت ہے۔ اگر وہ ان کے کرتوتوں پر ان کو پکڑنے لگے تو ان You did not hide your(doings) so that your ears or eyes or persons should not testify against you. In fact you thought that God did not know the things you used to do.
اور تم(اپنی بداعمالیاں) اس وجہ سے پوشیده رکھتے ہی نہ تھے کہ تم پر تمہارے کان اور تمہاری آنکھیں اور تمہاری کھالیں گواہی دیں گی، ہاں تم یہ سمجھتے رہے کہ تم جو کچھ بھی کر رہے ہو اس میں سے بہت سےاعمال سے اللہ بےخبر ہے
Corruption has appeared in land and sea because of the doings of the people's hands, that He may make them
خشکی اور تری میں لوگوں کی بداعمالیوں کے باعﺚ فساد پھیل گیا۔ اس لئےSay: Will ye dispute with us about Allah, seeing that He is our Lord and your Lord; that we are responsible for our doings and ye for yours; and that we are sincere(in our faith) in Him?
اے رسول کہہ دیجئے کہ کیا تم ہم سے اس خدا کے بارے میں جھگڑتے ہو جو ہمارا بھی پروردگار that we are responsible for our doings and ye for yours; and that we are sincere(in our faith) in Him?
تمہارا رب ہے، ہمارے لئے ہمارے اعمال ہیں اور تمہارے لئے تمہارے اعمال، ہم تو اسی کے لئے مخلص each man turn from his evil way, that I may repent of the evil which I plan to do to them because of the evil of their doings.'.
مَیں بھی اُس بدی سے رُک جاؤں جو مَیں ان Or lest you say,"Verily, it was but our forefathers who, in times gone by, began to ascribe divinity to other beings beside God; and we were but their late offspring: wilt Thou, then, destroy us for the doings of those inventors of falsehoods?".
یا یہ کہو کہ شرک تو ہم سے پہلے ہمارے باپ دادا نے کیا تھا اور ہم تو ان کے بعد کی اولاد ہیں، تو کیا اہل باطل کے قصور کے بدلے میں ہمیں ہلاکت میں ڈالو گےThat He may know that they have indeed conveyed the messages of their Lord. He surroundeth all their doings, and He keepeth count of all things.
تاکہ وہ بظاہر جان لے کہ انہوں نے اپنے رب کے پیغامات پہنچا دیے اور الله نے تمام کاموں کو اپنے قبضے میں کر رکھا ہے ارواس نے ہر چیز کی گنتی شمار کر رکھی ہےthat we are responsible for our doings and ye for yours; and that we are sincere(in our faith) in Him?
تمہارا رب We assigned to them companions who made their doings appear fair to them. But the same decree[of punishment]
اور ہم نے(شیطانوں کو) ان کا ہم نشین مقرر کردیا تھا تو انہوں نے ان کے اگلے اور پچھلے اعمال ان کو عمدہ کر دکھائے تھے
Revile not ye those whom they call upon besides Allah, lest they out of spite revile Allah in their ignorance. Thus have We made alluring to each people its own doings. In the end will they return to their Lord, and We shall then tell them the truth of all that they did.
اور جن کی یہ الله کے سوا پرستش کر تےہیں انہیں برا نہ کہوورنہ وہ بے سمجھی سے زیادتی کرکے الله کو برا کہیں گے اس طرح ہر ایک جماعت کی نظر میں ان کے اعمال کوہم نے آراستہ کر دیا ہے پھر ان سب کو اپنے رب کی طرف لوٹ کر آنا ہے تب وہ انہیں بتلائے گا جو کچھ کیا کرتے تھےAnd insult not those whom they(disbelievers) worship besides Allah, lest they insult Allah wrongfully without knowledge. Thus We have made fair-seeming to each people its own doings; then to their Lord is their return and He shall then inform them of all that they used to do.
اور گالی مت دو ان کو جن کی یہ لوگ اللہ تعالیٰ کو چھوڑ کر عبادت کرتے ہیں کیونکہ پھر وه براه جہل حد سے گزر کر اللہ تعالیٰ کی شان میں گستاخی کریں گے ہم نے اسی طرح ہر طریقہ والوں کو ان کا عمل مرغوب بنا رکھا ہے۔ پھر اپنے رب ہی کے پاس ان کو جانا ہے سو وه ان کو بتلا دے گا جو کچھ بھی وه کیا کرتے تھےsaid, Like as the Lord of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us”(verse 6).
اُنہوں نے رجوع لا کر کہا کہ رب الافواج نے اپنے ارادہ کے مطابق ہماری عادات اور ہمارے اعمال کا بدلہ دیا ہےlike he who is in total darkness, and cannot get out of it? Thus the doings of disbelievers are made to appear good to them.
اس سے نکل ہی نہ سکے اسی طرح کافر جو عمل کر رہے ہیں وہ انہیں اچھے معلوم ہوتے ہیںIs he who was dead, then We gave him life, and made for him a light by which he walks among the people, like he who is in total darkness, and cannot get out of it? Thus the doings of disbelievers are made to appear good to them.
ایسا شخص جو پہلے مرده تھا پھر ہم نے اس کو زنده کردیا اور ہم نے اس کو ایک ایسا نور دے دیا کہ وه اس کو لئے ہوئے آدمیوں میں چلتا پھرتا ہے۔ کیا ایسا شخص اس شخص کی طرح ہوسکتا ہے؟ جو تاریکیوں سے نکل ہی نہیں پاتا۔ اسی طرح کافروں کو ان کے اعمال خوش نما معلوم ہوا کرتے ہیںsay: As Jehovah of Hosts designed to do to us, According to our ways, and according to our doings, So He hath done to us?'.
