Who hear advice and follow the best thereof. Such are those whom Allah guideth, and such are men of understanding.
جو کان لگا کر بات سنیں پھر اس کے بہتر پر چلیں یہ ہیں جن کو اللہ نے ہدایت فرمائی اور یہ ہیں جن کو عقل ہیں

Thou(O Muhammad) guidest not whom thou lovest, but Allah guideth whom He will. And He is Best Aware of those who walk aright.
اے نبیؐ، تم جسے چاہو اسے ہدایت نہیں دے سکتے، مگر اللہ جسے چاہتا ہے ہدایت دیتا ہے اور وہ ان لوگوں کو خوب جانتا ہے جو ہدایت قبول کرنے والے ہیں

it as plain revelations, and verily Allah guideth whom He will.
بےشک اللہ جسے چاہتا ہے ہدایت دیتا ہے

Thou(O Muhammad) guidest not whom thou lovest, but Allah guideth whom He will. And He is Best Aware of those who walk aright.
(اے رسول(ص)) آپ جسے چاہیں اسے ہدایت نہیں کر سکتے لیکن اللہ جسے چاہتا ہے اسے ہدایت دے دیتا ہے اور وہ ہدایت پانے والوں کو بہتر جانتا ہے

He bringeth them out of darkness unto light by His decree, and guideth.
اور ان کو نکالتا ہے اندھیروں سے روشنی میں اپنے حکم سے، اور ان کو چلاتا ہے سیدھی راہ

Guideth it not those who inherit the land after the people thereof, that, had We willed, We would have afflicted them for their sins? And We have put a seal upon their hearts, so that they hearken not.
کیا ان لوگوں کو جو اہلِ زمین کے(مرجانے کے) بعد زمین کے مالک ہوتے ہیں، یہ امر موجب ہدایت نہیں ہوا کہ اگر ہم چاہیں تو ان کے گناہوں کے سبب ان پر مصیبت ڈال دیں۔ اور ان کے دلوں پر مہر لگادیں کہ کچھ سن ہی نہ سکیں

Light upon light; God guideth unto His light whom He will; and God speaketh to mankind in parables; and God knoweth all things.".
نور علی نور ہے اللہ تعالیٰ اپنے نور تک جس کو چاہتا ہے راہ دیدیتا ہے اور اللہ تعالیٰ لوگوں کے لیے مثالیں بیان فرماتاہے اور اللہ تعالیٰ ہر چیز کو خوب جاننے والا ہے۔بیان القرآن، ج

Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust.
وہ ان میں سےہے الله ظالموں کو ہدایت نہیں کرتا

This is the guidance of Allah whereby He guideth whomsoever of His bondmen He listeth. And if they had associated, to naught would
یہ اللہ کی ہدایت ہے جس کے ساتھ وہ اپنے بندوں میں سے جس کی چاہتا ہے رہنمائی کرتا ہے

Thus doth Allah leave to stray whom He pleaseth and guideth whom He pleaseth; and none can know the forces of the Lord except He
اسی طرح اللہ گمراہ کرتا ہے جس کو چاہتا ہے اور راہ یاب کرتا ہے جس کو چاہتا ہے

O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them(for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust.
اے ایمان والو! یہود و نصاریٰ کو اپنا دوست نہ بناؤ، وہ آپس میں ایک دوسرے کے دوست ہیں اور تم میں سے جو ان سے دوستی کرے گا وہ انہی میں سے شمار ہوگا۔ بے شک خدا ظالموں کو ہدایت نہیں کرتا

This is the guidance of Allah whereby He guideth whomsoever of His bondmen He listeth. And if they had associated, to naught would have come all that they were wont to work.
یہ اللہ کی ہدایت ہے وہ اپنے بندوں میں سے جسے چاہتا ہے اس کے ذریعے رہنمائی فرماتا ہے، اور اگر(بالفرض) یہ لوگ شرک کرتے تو ان سے وہ سارے اعمالِ(خیر) ضبط(یعنی نیست و نابود) ہو جاتے جو وہ انجام دیتے تھے

Lo! this Qur'an guideth unto that which is straightest,
یقیناً یہ قرآن وه راستہ دکھاتا ہے جو بہت ہی سیدھا ہے

His Messenger: and Allah guideth not those who are perversely rebellious.
اس کے رسول سے منکر ہوئے، اور اللہ فاسقوں کو راہ نہیں دیتا

Then Allah sendeth astray whomsoever He will, and guideth whomsoever He will. And He is the Mighty, the Wise.
گمراہ کرتا ہے اور جسے چاہتا ہے ہدایت دیتا ہے اوروہ غالب حکمت والا ہے

Then if they answer thee not, know thou that they only follow their own desires; and who is farther astray than he who followeth his desire without guidance from Allah? Verily Allah guideth not a wrong- doing people.
پھر اگر تمہارا کہنا نہ مانیں تو جان لو کہ وہ صرف اپنی خواہشوں کے تابع ہیں اور اس سے بڑھ کر کون گمراہ ہوگا جو الله کی ہدایت چھوڑ کر اپنی خواہشوں پر چلتا ہو بے شک الله ظالم قوم کو ہدایت نہیں کرتا

he sendeth astray whomsoever He willeth, and guideth whomsoever He willeth;
اللہ گمراہ کرتا ہے جسے چاہے، اور راہ دیتا ہے جسے چاہے،

and whosoever of you befriendeth them, verily he is of them; verily Allah guideth not a wrong-doing people.
ان ہی میں شمار ہوجائے گا بیشک اللہ ظالم قوم کی ہدایت نہیں کرتا ہے

O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Nazarenes as friends: friends they are to each other: and whosoever of you befriendeth them, verily he is of them; verily Allah guideth not a wrong-doing people.
اے ایمان والو! یہود و نصاریٰ کو اپنا دوست نہ بناؤ، وہ آپس میں ایک دوسرے کے دوست ہیں اور تم میں سے جو ان سے دوستی کرے گا وہ انہی میں سے شمار ہوگا۔ بے شک خدا ظالموں کو ہدایت نہیں کرتا
