かれらは言う。「わたしたちのために，あなたが地から泉を涌き出させるまでは，あなたを信じないであろう。
And they say:"We shall not believe in you(O Muhammad SAW), until you cause a spring to gush forth from the earth for us;仮令われが，かれらの天使たちを遣し，また死者がかれらに語りかけ，また凡てのものを，かれらの前に集めても，もしアッラーが御好みにならない限り，かれらはきつと信じないであろう。
And even if We had sent down to them the angels[with the message] and the dead spoke to them[of it] and We gathered together every[created] thing in front of them, they would not believe unless Allah should will.あなたがたが，「ムーサーよ，わたしたちはアッラーをはっきりと見るまでは，あなたを信じないであろう。」と言った時を思い起せ。するとあなたがたが見ている前で，落雷があなたがたを襲った。
And[recall] when you said,"O Moses, we will never believe you until we see Allah outright"; so the thunderbolt took you while you were looking on.仮令われが，かれらの天使たちを遣し，また死者がかれらに語りかけ，また凡てのものを，かれらの前に集めても，もしアッラーが御好みにならない限り，かれらはきつと信じないであろう。全くかれらの多くは，無知なのである。
And though We should send down the angels unto them, and the dead should speak unto them, and We should gather against them all things in array, they would not believe unless Allah so willed. Howbeit, most of them are ignorant.仮令われが，かれらの天使たちを遣し，また死者がかれらに語りかけ，また凡てのものを，かれらの前に集めても，もしアッラーが御好みにならない限り，かれらはきつと信じないであろう。全くかれらの多くは，無知なのである。
And even if We had sent down to them the angels and the dead had spoken to them and We had brought together all things before them, they would not believe unless Allah pleases, but most of them are ignorant.仮令われが，かれらの天使たちを遣し，また死者がかれらに語りかけ，また凡てのものを，かれらの前に集めても，もしアッラーが御好みにならない限り，かれらはきつと信じないであろう。全くかれらの多くは，無知なのである。
Even if We had sent down angels to them, and the dead had spoken to them, and We had gathered before them all things manifestly, they would[still] not believe unless Allah wished. But most of them are ignorant.仮令われが、かれらの天使たちを遣し、また死者がかれらに語りかけ、また凡てのものを、かれらの前に集めても、もしアッラーが御好みにならない限り、かれらはきっと信じないであろう。
Were We to send the very angels to them, and the dead were to speak to them, and brought up everything right before them, they would still not believe unless Allah were to wish so…”.またはあなたが，黄金（の装飾）の家を持ち，（梯子を踏んで）天に登るまでは。いや，わたしたちに読める啓典を持って下るまで，あなたの昇天をも信じないであろう。」言ってやるがいい。「主に讃えあれ，わたしは使徒として（遺わされた）一人の人間に過ぎないではないか。」。
Or till thou possessest a house of gold ornament, or till thou goest up into heaven; and we will not believe thy going up till thou bringest down on us a book that we may read. Say:'Glory be to my Lord. Am I aught but a mortal, a Messenger?またはあなたが，黄金（の装飾）の家を持ち，（梯子を踏んで）天に登るまでは。いや，わたしたちに読める啓典を持って下るまで，あなたの昇天をも信じないであろう。」言ってやるがいい。「主に讃えあれ，わたしは使徒として（遺わされた）一人の人間に過ぎないではないか。」。
Or until you have a house of gold, or you ascend into the sky. And we will not believe your ascension until you bring down for us a book that we may read.' Say,‘Immaculate is my Lord! Am I anything but a human apostle?!仮令われが，かれらの天使たちを遣し，また死者がかれらに語りかけ，また凡てのものを，かれらの前に集めても，もしアッラーが御好みにならない限り，かれらはきつと信じないであろう。全くかれらの多くは，無知なのである。

Or, until you possess an ornate house of gold, or ascend into the heavens; and we will not believe in your ascension until you have brought down for us a book which we can read' Say:'Exaltations to my Lord! Am I anything except a human Messenger.またはあなたが，黄金（の装飾）の家を持ち，（梯子を踏んで）天に登るまでは。いや，わたしたちに読める啓典を持って下るまで，あなたの昇天をも信じないであろう。」言ってやるがいい。「主に讃えあれ，わたしは使徒として（遺わされた）一人の人間に過ぎないではないか。」。

Or you have a house made of gold; or you ascend to heaven; and we will not believe in your ascension until you send down to us a Book that we can read." Tell them,"Holy is my Lord. I am but a human being sent as a messenger.またはあなたが，黄金（の装飾）の家を持ち，（梯子を踏んで）天に登るまでは。いや，わたしたちに読める啓典を持って下るまで，あなたの昇天をも信じないであろう。」言ってやるがいい。「主に讃えあれ，わたしは使徒として（遺わされた）一人の人間に過ぎないではないか。」。
Or, you come to possess a house of gold; or ascend to the skies, though we shall not believe in your having ascended till you bring down a book for us which we could read." Say:"Glory to my Lord. I am only man and a messenger.言ってやるがいい。「天と地にある凡てのものは，誰の有であるのか。」言ってやるがいい。「アッラーの有である。かれは慈悲を御自分の動となされる。審判の日には，必ずあなたがたを召集されよう。それに疑いの余地はないのである。」だが自分の魂を滅ぼしてしまった者は，信じないであろう。
Say: Unto whom belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth? Say: Unto Allah. He hath prescribed for Himself mercy, that He may bring you all together to the Day of Resurrection whereof there is no doubt. Those who ruin their souls will not believe.言ってやるがいい。「天と地にある凡てのものは，誰の有であるのか。」言ってやるがいい。「アッラーの有である。かれは慈悲を御自分の動となされる。審判の日には，必ずあなたがたを召集されよう。それに疑いの余地はないのである。」だが自分の魂を滅ぼしてしまった者は，信じないであろう。
Say,“To whom belongs what is in the heavens and the earth?” Say,“To God.” He has inscribed for Himself mercy. He will gather you to the Day of Resurrection, in which there is no doubt. Say,"To whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and earth?" Say,"To Allah." He has decreed upon Himself mercy. He will surely assemble you for the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt. Those who will lose themselves[that Day] do not believe.またはあなたが，黄金（の装飾）の家を持ち，（梯子を踏んで）天に登るまでは。いや，わたしたちに読める啓典を持って下るまで，あなたの昇天をも信じないであろう。」言ってやるがいい。「主に讃えあれ，わたしは使徒として（遺わされた）一人の人間に過ぎないではないか。」。
Or(show us) that you have a well adorned house of your own, or climb into the sky. We shall never believe that you have climbed into the sky until you bring us a book that we can read." Say,"All glory belongs to my Lord. Am I more than a mortal Messenger?
