When Abimelech had reigned three years over Israel.
Then went Abimelech to Thebez, and encamped against Thebez, and took it.
ثم ذهب ابيمالك الى تاباص ونزل في تاباص واخذهاAnd Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before thee: dwell where it pleaseth thee.
وقال ابيمالك هوذا ارضي قدامك. اسكن في ما حسن في عينيكAbraham complained to Abimelech because of a water well, which Abimelech's servants had violently taken away.
وعاتب ابراهيم A certain woman cast an upper millstone on Abimelech's head, and broke his skull.
فطرحت امرأة قطعة رحى على راس ابيمالك فشجت جمجمته
Abimelech said,"Behold, my land is before you. Dwell where it pleases you.".
وقال ابيمالك هوذا ارضي قدامك. اسكن في ما حسن في عينيكHis concubine who was in Shechem, she also bore him a son, and he named him Abimelech.
وسرّيته التي في شكيم ولدت له هي ايضا ابنا فسماه ابيمالكJotham ran away, and fled, and went to Beer, and lived there, for fear of Abimelech his brother.
ثم هرب يوثام وفرّ وذهب الى بئر واقام هناك من وجه ابيمالك اخيهWhen the men of Israel saw that Abimelech was dead, they departed every man to his place.
ولما رأى رجال اسرائيل ان ابيمالك قد مات ذهب كل واحد الى مكانهAbraham prayed to God. God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his female servants, and they bore children.
فصلّى ابراهيم الى الله. فشفى الله ابيمالك وامرأته وجواريه فولدنAnd Abimelech dwelt at Arumah: and Zebul thrust out Gaal and his brethren, that they should not dwell in Shechem.
فاقام ابيمالك في ارومة. وطرد زبول جعلا واخوته عن الاقامة في شكيمBut Abimelech had not come near her: and he said,
ولكن لم يكن ابيمالك قد اقترب اليها.And his concubine that was in Shechem, she also bare him a son, whose name he called Abimelech.
وسرّيته التي في شكيم ولدت له هي ايضا ابنا فسماه ابيمالك
out into the field; and they told Abimelech.
الشعب خرج الى الحقل واخبروا ابيمالكAbraham said about Sarah his wife,"She is my sister." Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.
وقال ابراهيم عن سارة امراته هي اختي. فارسل ابيمالك ملك جرار واخذ سارةAbimelech lived at Arumah: and Zebul drove out Gaal and his brothers, that they should not dwell in Shechem.
فاقام ابيمالك في ارومة. وطرد زبول جعلا واخوته عن الاقامة في شكيمAbimelech commanded all the people, saying,"He who touches
فاوصى ابيمالك جميع الشعب قائلا الذي يمسّ هذا الرجلNow Abimelech had not come near her. He said,"Lord,
ولكن لم يكن ابيمالك قد اقترب اليها.So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare children.
فصلّى ابراهيم الى الله. فشفى الله ابيمالك وامرأته وجواريه فولدنAbimelech said to Abraham,"What do these seven ewe lambs which you have set by themselves mean?".
فقال ابيمالك لابراهيم ما هذه السبع النعاج التي اقمتها وحدها
