The paper reflected the replies that the Secretariat had received by 15 August 2008 from the Governments of Algeria, Angola, Burkina Faso, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ghana, Guinea, the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, Madagascar, South Africa, Swaziland and Tunisia.
It takes note of the detailed supplementary information provided by the delegation, which includes replies to some of the suggestions and recommendations adopted by the Committee during its consideration of the seventh periodic report of the State Party.
The texts of the replies received from Argentina, Costa Rica, Cuba, the Czech Republic, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, the Syrian Arab Republic, Thailand, Tunisia and Venezuela are reproduced in the report.
The secretariat received replies to this final evaluation from 15 participants(five out of six LDCs) and 13 supervisors(four out of six LDCs)
With the submissions of Croatia, Fiji, the Islamic Republic of Iran and Saint Lucia, the total number of replies received from Governments has risen to 89. This includes a" nil" report submitted by the Cook Islands.

By 7 December 1998, replies had been received from the Governments of Croatia, Cuba, Denmark, France, Germany, Portugal and Turkey, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization(UNESCO) and the United Nations Population Fund(UNFPA).
