The Resident Coordinator system has also played a central role in assisting Governments and enhancing United Nations system coordination, including through the establishment of thematic groups and the full utilization of collaborative programming frameworks, to support, at the request of Governments, the development of national strategies and action plans for integrated and coordinated conference follow-up.
