His delegation welcomed the decision to extend the mandate of the Special Rapporteur on Disability, who was responsible for monitoring the implementation of the Standard Rules on the Equalization of Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities and for the elaboration of a comprehensive and integral international convention on the rights of persons with disabilities.
