In October 2004, parliamentarians and government ministers from 90 countries met in Strasbourg, France, at the 2004 International Parliamentarians ' Conference on the Implementation of the ICPD Programme of Action to review progress and reaffirm their commitment, including issuing the Strasbourg Statement of Commitment.
