कुछ लोगों को शायद लगे कि अगर कोई उन्हें बुरा काम करते नहीं देखता, तो वे सज़ा से बच जाएँगे।

The way is only open against those who do wrong to the people, and are insolent in the earth wrongfully; there awaits them a painful chastisement.
इल्ज़ाम तो बस उन्हीं लोगों पर होगा जो लोगों पर ज़ुल्म करते हैं और रूए ज़मीन में नाहक़ ज्यादतियाँ करते फिरते हैं उन्हीं लोगों के लिए दर्दनाक अज़ाब है।

Yet those who do wrong, then repent and believe,
और जिन लोगों ने बुरे काम किए फिर उसके बाद तौबा कर ली

The way is only open against those who do wrong to the people, and are insolent in the earth wrongfully; there awaits them a painful chastisement.
इलज़ाम तो केवल उनपर आता है जो लोगों पर ज़ुल्म करते है और धरती में नाहक़ ज़्यादती करते है। ऐसे लोगों के लिए दुखद यातना है।

So verily Unto those who do wrong there is a portion like Unto the portion of their fellows;
अतः जिन लोगों ने ज़ुल्म किया है उनके लिए एक नियत पैमाना है;

Indeed the lot of those who do wrong[now] will be like the lot of their[earlier]
अतः जिन लोगों ने ज़ुल्म किया है उनके लिए एक नियत पैमाना है; जैसा उनके साथियों

But if you do wrong, be afraid,
किन्तु यदि तू बुरा करता है तो उससे डर

Those who reject Faith and do wrong,- God will not forgive them
निःसंदेह जो काफ़िर हो गये और अत्याचार करते रह गये, तो अल्लाह ऐसा नहीं है

When you do wrong(which you will), ask God for forgiveness, and surrender afresh to him.
अगर आपने कुछ गलत किया है, तो तुरंत अल्लाह से माफी(तवाब) मांगें।

So away with the people who do wrong!
फिटकार है, ऐसे अत्याचारी लोगों पर!

And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a portion of torment like to the evil portion of torment(which came for)
अतः जिन लोगों ने ज़ुल्म किया है उनके लिए एक नियत पैमाना है; जैसा उनके साथियों का नियत पैमाना था।
