انظرنا کہا کرو اور(توجہ سے ان کی بات) سنا کرو اور کافروں کے لئے دردناک عذاب ہے

And of them are some who hearken unto thee, so canst thou make the deaf hear, even though they apprehend not?
اور ان میں بعض ایسے ہیں کہ تمہاری طرف کان لگاتے ہیں کیا تم بہروں کو سنا سکتے ہو اگرچہ وہ نہ سمجھیں?

And those who disbelieve say: hearken not Unto this Qur'an and babble therein,
اور کافر کہتے ہیں کہ اس قرآن کو نہ سنو اور اس کی(تلاوت کے دوران)

And of them are some who hearken unto thee, so canst thou make the deaf hear, even though they apprehend not?
اور ان میں سے بعض وہ ہیں جو(ظاہراً) آپ کی طرف کان لگاتے ہیں، تو کیا آپ بہروں کو سنا دیں گے خواہ وہ کچھ عقل بھی نہ رکھتے ہوں،?

Hearken to your Lord before there comes from Allah the day which there is no averting(death)…”.
اپنے رب کا حکم مان لو اس سے پہلے کہ اللہ کی جانب سے وہ دن آجائے جس کا ہٹ جانا ناممکن ہے

Proverbs 7:24 Now therefore,[my] sons, hearken unto me, And attend to the words of my mouth.
سواب اے بیٹو! میری سنو اور میرے منہ کی باتوں پر توجہ کرو

And of them are some who hearken to thee but will thou make the deaf to hear although they have no senses(10: 42).
اور ان میں سے بعض وہ ہیں جو(ظاہراً) آپ کی طرف کان لگاتے ہیں، تو کیا آپ بہروں کو سنا دیں گے خواہ وہ کچھ عقل بھی نہ رکھتے ہوں،(42

And I! I have chosen thee hearken thou then to that which shall be revealed.
اور میں نے تمہیں(اپنی رسالت کے لئے) چن لیا ہے پس تم پوری توجہ سے سنو جو تمہیں وحی کی جا رہی ہے

Who hearken Unto the word and follow that which is the exceLlent there of. These are they whom Allah hath guided, and those are men of understanding.
جو توجہ سے بات کو سنتے ہیں پھر اچھی بات کی پیروی کرتے ہیں یہی ہیں جنہیں الله نے ہدایت کی ہے اور یہی عقل والے ہیں

And be not like unto those who say: we hear, whereas they hearken not.
اور ان لوگو ں کی طرح نہ ہو جنہوں نے کہا ہم نے سن لیا اور وہ سنتے نہیں

sleeping by night and by day, and your seeking of His grace verily herein are signs for a people who hearken.
اس کے فضل کا تلاش کرنا ہے بے شک اس میں سننے والوں کے لیے نشانیاں ہیں

And be not like unto those who say: we hear, whereas they hearken not.
اور ان جیسے نہ ہونا جنہوں نے کہا ہم نے سنا او ر وہ نہیں سنتے

اور ان لوگوں کی طرح مت ہو جانا جنہوں نے(دھوکہ دہی کے طور پر) کہا: ہم نے سن لیا، حالانکہ وہ نہیں سنتے

And be not like unto those who say: we hear, whereas they hearken not.
اُن لوگوں کی طرح نہ ہو جاؤ جنہوں نے کہا کہ ہم نے سُنا حالانکہ وہ نہیں سُنتے

The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
خداوند تیرا خدا تیرے لیے تیرے ہی درمیان سے یعنی تیرے ہی بھائیوں میں سے میری مانند ایک نبی برپا کرے گا۔ تُم اُسکی سُننا

For He[is] our God, and we the people of His pasture, And the flock of His hand, To-day, if to His voice ye hearken,!
کیونکہ وہ ہمارا خُدا ہے اور ہم اُس کی چراگاہ کے لوگ اور اُس کے ہاتھ کی بھیڑیں۔کاشکہ آج کے دِن تُم اُس کی آواز سُنتے!

Hearken, O earth, and all that therein is: and let the Lord GOD be witness against you, the LORD from his holy temple.
اے زمین اور اس کی معموری کان لگاؤ!اور خُداوند خُدا ہاں خُداوند اپنے مقدس مسکن سےتم پر گواہی دے

O Prophet! Fear Allah, and hearken not to the Unbelievers and the Hypocrites: verily Allah is full of Knowledge and Wisdom.
اے نبی! اللہ تعالیٰ سے ڈرتے رہنا اور کافروں اور منافقوں کی باتوں میں نہ آجانا، اللہ تعالیٰ بڑے علم واﻻ اور بڑی حکمت واﻻ ہے

But if ye will not hearken unto Me, and will not do all these Commandments;".
لیکن اگر تم میری مرضی کی تعمیل نہیں کروگے اور میرے یہ سب احکام نہیں مانوگے
