At the 25th meeting, on 30 March 2005, Ms. Catarina de Albuquerque, ChairpersonRapporteur of the Openended working group with a view to considering options regarding the elaboration of an optional protocol to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, introduced the report of the Working Group(E/CN.4/2005/52).
It was recalled that this effort had been undertaken with a view to considering amendments of an editorial nature in order to eliminate any inconsistencies among the documents, which existed because the documents had been drafted at various stages of the Commission ' s work, or to make certain existing provisions more precise.
