Requests the Secretary-General to make proposals to the General Assembly, as appropriate, to reform the post structure with a view to considering a possible increase in the proportion of P-2 and P-3 posts, taking advantage of the opportunity provided by the retirement of many senior staff in the coming years;

تطلب إلى الأمين العام تقديم مقترحات إلى الجمعية العامة، حسب الاقتضاء، لإصلاح هيكل الوظائف بهدف النظر فـي إمكانية زيادة نســـبة وظائف الرتبتين ف-2 و ف-3، بالاستفادة من الفرص التي يتيحها تقاعد الكثيرين من قدامى الموظفين في السنوات القادمة

At its sixty-third session, the General Assembly encouraged the Secretary-General and the Executive Secretary of the Community to start consultations with a view to considering the establishment of a formal cooperation agreement; and requested the Secretary-General to submit a report on the implementation of the resolution to the Assembly at its sixty-fifth session(resolution 63/143).

In that regard, the Working Group welcomes the work of the intergovernmental working group established by the Human Rights Council with a view to considering the possibility of an international instrument for the regulation of PMSCs; it encourages all States to participate actively in that process.

Attention was drawn to the definitions of crimes contained in articles 17 to 20 of the draft Code of Crimes against the Peace and Security of Mankind, adopted by the International Law Commission in 1996, with a view to considering the inclusion of such definitions in the Statute.

Recalling general recommendation No. 17(1994) on the establishment of national institutions to facilitate implementation of the Convention, the Committee reiterates its recommendation that the State party continue to consult with civil society with a view to considering the establishment of an independent national human rights institution in line with the Paris Principles(General Assembly resolution 48/134).

In section III, paragraph 5, of its resolution 59/265, the Assembly urged the Secretary-General to continue the consultations referred to in this context with a view to considering the possible broadening of the electronic distribution of documentation while maintaining the distribution of printed copies, as required, and to report on the matter to the Assembly through the Committee on Conferences.

It was recalled that this effort had been undertaken with a view to considering amendments of an editorial nature in order to eliminate any inconsistencies among the documents, which existed because the documents had been drafted at various stages of the Commission ' s work, or to make certain existing provisions more precise.
