Their predecessors gave the lie to the Truth and then chastisement came upon them from whence they could not imagine.
اِن سے پہلے بھی بہت سے لوگ اسی طرح جھٹلا چکے ہیں آخر اُن پر عذاب ایسے رخ سے آیا جدھر ان کا خیال بھی نہ جا سکتا تھا

I will lift up my eyes to the hills- From whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.
میَں اپنی آنکھیں پہاڑوں کی طرف اُٹھاؤں گا۔ میری کُمک کہاں سے آئے گی؟ میری کُمک خُداوند سے سے ہے جِس نے آسمان اور زمین کو بنایا

میَں اپنی آنکھیں پہاڑوں کی طرف اُٹھاؤں گا۔ میری کُمک کہاں سے آئے گی؟ میری کُمک خُداوند سے سے ہے جِس نے آسمان اور زمین کو بنایا

So leave Me with those who deny this discourse. We will draw them imperceptibly[into ruin], whence they do not know.
پس اے نبیؐ، تم اِس کلام کے جھٹلانے والوں کا معاملہ مجھ پر چھوڑ دو ہم ایسے طریقہ سے اِن کو بتدریج تباہی کی طرف لے جائیں گے کہ اِن کو خبر بھی نہ ہوگی

So leave Me with those who deny this discourse. We will draw them imperceptibly[into ruin], whence they do not know.
پس(اے رسول(ص)) آپ(ص) مجھے اور اس کو چھوڑدیں جو اس کتاب کو جھٹلاتا ہے ہم انہیں اس طرح بتدریج تباہی کی طرف لے جائیںگے کہ ان کو خبر بھی نہ ہوگی

And David said unto him, From whence comest thou? And he said unto him, Out of the camp of Israel am I escaped.
داؔؤد نے اُس سے کہا تُو کہاں سے آتا ہے؟ اُس نے اُس سے کہا مَیں اسرؔائیل کی لشکر گاہ میں سے بچ نکِلا ہُوں

But, as for this one, we know whence he is; The Christ, however, whensoever he shall come, no one, getteth to know whence he is.
اِس کو تو ہم جانتے ہیں کہ کہاں کا ہے مگر مسِیح جب آئے گا تو کوئی نہ جائے گا کہ وہ کہاں کا ہے

Know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself.
میرے لئے؟ تمہیں کیسے پتہ تھا کہ میں وہاں آنے والا ہوں اور تم سے میرا پریچئے(تعارف) بھی تو نہیں تھا

Then hasten onward from the place whence the multitude hasteneth onward,
پھر جہاں سے سب لوگ پلٹتے ہیں وہیں سے تم بھی پلٹو

Those that were before them cried lies, then the chastisement came upon them from whence they were not aware;
جو لوگ ان سے پہلے تھے انہوں نے بھی تکذیب کی تھی تو ان پر عذاب ایسی جگہ سے آگیا کہ ان کو خبر ہی نہ تھی

I wist not whence they were.
تھے پر مجھے معلوم نہ ہوا کہ وہ کہاں کے تھے

The man answered and said to them, Now in this is a wonderful thing, that ye do not know whence he is, and he has opened mine eyes.
اْس آدمی نے جواب میں اْن سے کہا یہ تو تعجب کی بات ہے کہ تم نہیں جانتے کہ وہ کہاں کا ہے حالانکہ اْس نے میری آنکھیں کھولیں

The man answered and said to them: Why, in this is that which is wonderful, that you know not whence he is, and yet he has opened my eyes.
اْس آدمی نے جواب میں اْن سے کہا یہ تو تعجب کی بات ہے کہ تم نہیں جانتے کہ وہ کہاں کا ہے حالانکہ اْس نے میری آنکھیں کھولیں

He said,“why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.
اُس آدمی نے جواب میں اُن سے کہا یہ تو تعُّجب کی بات ہے کہ تُم نہیں جانتے کہ وہ کہاں کا ہے حالانکہ اُس نے میری آنکھیں کھولِیں

And the man answered,“Why herein is a marvelous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.
