All Forms of Discrimination against WomenGeneral Assembly resolution 34/180, annex. contributes to the elimination of violence against women and that the implementation of the Declaration on the Elimination of Violence against Women strengthens and complements that process.

Decides to continue its consideration of the question at its fifty-first session under the agenda item" Implementation of the Declaration on the Elimination of All Forms of Intolerance and of Discrimination Based on Religion or Belief".

The implementation of the Declaration on the Elimination of All Forms of Intolerance and of Discrimination Based on Religion or Belief is of course indissociable from the question of respect for all human rights-- economic, social and cultural rights, civil and political rights and the right to development.

In resolution 1999/39 entitled" Implementation of the Declaration on the Elimination of All Forms of Intolerance and of Discrimination Based on Religion or Belief", the Special Rapporteur is invited to contribute effectively to the preparatory process for the World Conference and to forward to the High Commissioner his recommendations on religious intolerance which have a bearing on the World Conferencepara.

In this connection, CPC was a co-sponsor of the resolution submitted to the Commission on Human Rights under the agenda item" Implementation of the Declaration on the Elimination of All Forms of Intolerance and of Discrimination Based on Religion or Belief" in which it recommended that the General Assembly designate an annual international day for freedom of religion or belief.
