We, the States participating in the United Nations Conference to Review Progress Made in the Implementation of the Programme of Action to Prevent, Combat and Eradicate the Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons in All Its Aspects, having met in New York from 26 June to 7 July 2006.

نحن الدول المشاركة في مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة لاستعراض التقدم المحرز في تنفيذ برنامج العمل المتعلق بمنع الاتجار غير المشروع بالأسلحة الصغيرة والأسلحة الخفيفة من جميع جوانبه ومكافحته والقضاء عليه، وقد اجتمعنا في نيويورك من 26 حزيران/يونيه إلى 7 تموز

Zambia remains committed to the implementation of the Programme of Action to Prevent, Combat and Eradicate the Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons in All Its Aspects, and will continue to strive to undertake various initiatives at the national, subregional, regional and international levels aimed at addressing the problem.

In the field of conventional weapons, priority was accorded to the Fourth Biennial Meeting of States to Consider the Implementation of the Programme of Action to Prevent, Combat and Eradicate the Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons in All Its Aspects(New York, 14-18 June 2010).

The conference-servicing requirements, at full cost, for the second biennial meeting of States to consider the implementation of the Programme of Action to Prevent, Combat and Eradicate the Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons in All Its Aspects at the national, regional and global levels, referred to in operative paragraph 3 of the draft resolution, are estimated at $270,700.
