(a) Financial provisions. Under the regular budget of the United Nations, from the resource allocation for fellowships and grants in the programme budget approved by the General Assembly at its sixtieth session for implementing the activities of the Programme during the biennium 2006-2007, an amount of $413,300 will be used to implement the activities of the Programme in 2007.

Under the regular budget of the United Nations, an amount of $510,200 before recosting was approved as resource requirements for fellowships and grants in the programme budget by the General Assembly, at its fifty-sixth session, for implementing the activities of the Programme during the biennium 2002-2003.

في اطار الميزانية العادية للأمم المتحدة، وافقت الجمعية العامة، في دورتها السادسة والخمسين، على رصد مبلغ قدره 200 510 دولار، قبل اعادة احتساب التكاليف، بصفتها متطلبات من الموارد للزمالات والمنح، في الميزانية البرنامجية، من أجل تنفيذ أنشطة البرنامج أثناء فترة السنتين 2002-2003

In its resolution 61/110, the General Assembly agreed that UN-SPIDER should work closely with regional and national centres of expertise in the use of space technology in disaster management to form a network of regional support offices for implementing the activities of UN-SPIDER in their respective regions in a coordinated manner.

The Secretary-General will ensure that progress reports are submitted periodically but at least annually to the Foundations on the status of implementation, based on quarterly reports from the organizations and entities implementing the activities or projects funded by the Foundations, to ensure that project goals and objectives are attained.

Notes that, in accordance with paragraph 11 of its resolution 61/110, the UN-SPIDER programme should work closely with regional and national centres of expertise in the use of space technology in disaster management to form a network of regional support offices for implementing the activities of the programme in their respective regions in a coordinated manner, and agrees with the guidelines proposed by the Committee for selecting and setting up the proposed UN-SPIDER regional support offices;
