The Headquarters Integrated Task Force for Lebanon continued to hold regular meetings, with the participation of the Office of the Special Coordinator and members of the United Nations country team, to share information, plan joint activities and develop strategies for joint work.

Consistent with the recommendations of the review mission conducted by the Somalia Integrated Task Force in June, the collaboration and coordination between UNPOS and the United Nations country team have steadily improved.
The present summary presents the main findings of the strategic assessment as contained in the full length version which was endorsed by the Integrated Task Force on Somalia on 25 February 2008.
The strategic review was conducted from September to December, in a process led by the Department of Political Affairs through the Somalia Integrated Task Force, which includes representatives of all relevant departments, offices, agencies, funds and programmes.
Following the conduct of successful post-crisis elections in July 2013, the Peacebuilding Support Office initiated an informal reflection with members of the Mali Integrated Task Force on how to support peace-consolidation programmes in an integrated manner.
It was further fine-tuned in discussion with the United Nations Development Group and the donor community before being formally endorsed by the Integrated Task Force on Somalia in New York on 27 August.

With respect to AMIS, the establishment of a United Nations assistance cell in Addis Ababa, and later the Darfur Integrated Task Force, were essential in providing planning and deployment support for the African Union and resolving coordination issues between the United Nations and the African Union.
The Integrated Task Force based at United Nations Headquarters, comprised of the Department of Peacekeeping Operations, the Department of Field Support, the Department of Safety and Security, and the agencies, funds and programmes, ensures that coherent policy guidance and support is provided to MINUSMA(A/68/538, paras. 46 to 51).
In response to the deteriorating situation in the Central African Republic, and as proposed by the Integrated Task Force for that country, the Department of Public Information led a Working Group on Public Information that brings together communications focal points from relevant offices with the aim of promoting coordination on all communications-related efforts and priorities, and responding to urgent needs on the ground.
