As stated in the guidelines and rules of procedure for the Seminar(A/AC.109/2024), the primary objective of the Seminar was to assess political, economic and social conditions in the small island Non-Self-Governing Territories particularly with a view to evaluating their evolution towards self-determination.

وكما تنص المبادئ التوجيهية والنظام الداخلي للحلقة الدراسية A/AC.109/2024، يرمي الهدف اﻷساسي للحلقة الدراسية إلى تقييم اﻷوضاع السياسية واﻻقتصادية واﻻجتماعية في اﻷقاليم الجزرية الصغيرة غير المتمتعة بالحكم الذاتي، وﻻ سيما بغرض تقييم تطورها نحو تقرير المصير
