Those who affront believing men and believing women without their having deserved it[done any wrong] shall bear the weight of slander and flagrant sin.
اور جو لوگ صاحبانِ ایمان مرد یا عورتوں کو بغیر کچھ کئے دھرے اذیت دیتے ہیں انہوں نے بڑے بہتان اور کھلے گناہ کا بوجھ اپنے سر پر اٹھا رکھا ہے

ایسا کیوں نہ ہوا کہ جب تم نے اس(بہتان) کو سنا تھا تو مومن مرد اور مومن عورتیں اپنوں

ایسا کیوں نہ ہوا کہ جب تم لوگوں نے یہ(بہتان) سنا تھا تو مؤمن مرد

اور جو لوگ اس بات کو پسند کرتے ہیں کہ مومنوں میں بےحیائی پھیلے ان کو دنیا

Why then, did not the believers, men and women, when you heard it(the slander) think good of their own people
آخر ایسا کیوں نہ ہوا کہ جب تم لوگوں نے اس تہمت کو سناُ تھا تو مومنین و مومنات اپنے بارے

And had there not been Allah's grace upon you and His mercy in this world and in the Hereafter, severe torment would have afflicted you for promoting that(slander) into which you rushed headlong.
اور اگر تم پر دنیا و آخرت میں اللہ کا فضل اور اس کی رحمت نہ ہوتی تو جس(تہمت کے) چرچے میں تم پڑ گئے ہو اس پر تمہیں زبردست عذاب پہنچتاo

when you heard it(the slander) think good of their own people and say:"This(charge) is an obvious lie?".
دلوں میں نیک گمان نہ کیا۔ اور کیوں نہ کہا کہ یہ صریح طوفان ہے

His mercy upon you, in this world and the Hereafter, a great punishment would have befallen you for the slander into which you plunged.
اس کی رحمت تم پر دنیا اور آخرت میں نہ ہو تی تو جس چرچے میں تم پڑے اُس پر تمہیں بڑا عذاب پہونچتا

grace of God and His mercy on you in this world and the Hereafter, a terrible punishment would have afflicted you for your plunging headlong into slander.
یقیناً تم نے جس بات کے چرچے شروع کر رکھے تھے اس بارے میں تمہیں بہت بڑا عذاب پہنچتا

یہ ایسے ہیں کہ خوش دلی سے خیرات کرنے والے مؤمنین پر ریاکاری کا عیب لگاتے ہیں۔ اور جو اپنی محنت مزدوری کے سوا

بے شک جو لوگ یہ طوفان لائے ہیں تم ہی میں سے ایک گروہ ہے تم سے اپنے حق میں برا نہ سمجھو
