मूसा ने कहा(ख़ैर जो हुआ वह हुआ) अब अगर मैं आप से किसी चीज़ के बारे में पूछगछ करूँगा तो आप मुझे अपने साथ न रखियेगा बेशक आप मेरी तरफ से माज़रत(की हद को) पहुँच गए।

shall not avail me aught, nor shall they be able to deliver me?
न उनकी सिफारिश ही मेरे कुछ काम आएगी और न ये लोग मुझे(इस मुसीबत से) छुड़ा ही सकेंगें?

the earth and whatsoever Allah hath created of aught, and at the fact that their term may have drawn nigh? In what discourse then will they, thereafter, believe!
ख़ुदा की पैदा की हुई चीज़ों में ग़ौर नहीं किया और न इस बात में कि यायद उनकी मौत क़रीब आ गई हो फिर इतना समझाने के बाद(भला) किस बात पर ईमान लाएंगें!

Say: O followers of the Book! do you find fault with us(for aught) except that we believe in Allah
कहो,"ऐ किताबवालों! क्या इसके सिवा हमारी कोई और बात तुम्हें बुरी लगती है कि हम अल्लाह और उस चीज़ पर ईमान लाए,

Whoever does an evil, he shall not be recompensed(with aught) but the like of it, and whoever does good,
जिस किसी ने बुराई की तो उसे वैसा ही बदला मिलेगा, किन्तु जिस किसी ने अच्छा कर्म किया,

Before them is hell, and there shall not avail them aught of what they earned, nor those whom they took for guardians besides Allah,
उनके आगे जहन्नम है, जो उन्होंने कमाया वह उनके कुछ काम न आएगा और न यही कि उन्होंने अल्लाह को

associate not thou with Me aught, and purify My House for these who circumambulate
इस आदेश के साथ कि"मेरे साथ किसी चीज़ को साझी न ठहराना और मेरे घर को तवाफ़(परिक्रमा)

associate not aught with Allah; verily this associating is surely a tremendous wrong.
अल्लाह का साझी न ठहराना। निश्चय ही शिर्क(बहुदेववाद) बहुत बड़ा ज़ुल्म है।

surely there came a warner Unto us, but we belied, and said: God hath not sent down aught, are naught but in a great error.
किन्तु हमने झुठला दिया और कहा कि अल्लाह ने कुछ भी नहीं अवतरित किया। तुम तो बस एक बड़ी गुमराही में पड़े हुए हो।

believing women, and increase not the wrong-doers in aught save ruin!
और ज़ालिमों के विनाश को ही बढ़ा।!

we have not been calling upon aught afore. Thus doth Allah lead the infidels astray.
बल्कि(सच यूँ है कि) हम तो पहले ही से(ख़ुदा के सिवा) किसी चीज़ की परसतिश न करते थे यूँ ख़ुदा काफिरों को बौखला देगा।

them their offspring and We will not diminish to them aught of their work; every man is responsible for what he shall have wrought.
हम उनकी औलाद को भी उनके दर्जे पहुँचा देंगे और हम उनकी कारगुज़ारियों में से कुछ भी कम न करेंगे हर शख़्श अपने आमाल के बदले में गिरवी है।

thy Lord is not unmindful of aught that ye do.
उसी की बन्दगी करो और उसी पर भरोसा रखो। जो कुछ तुम करते हो, उससे तुम्हारा रब बेख़बर नहीं है।
