In this parable, Jesus Christ is the bridegroom,

У овој параболи, Христ је представљен

Verse 9-14- This parable was to convince some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous,

А ову причу каза некима који су били уверени у себе- да су праведни-

You* will certainly say this parable to me, Physician, heal yourself.

свакако ћете ми рећи ову пословицу: лекару, излечи себе самога.

And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?.

I reče im: Zar ne razumete ovu priču? A kako ćete sve priče razumeti?

He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard;

Kaza im pak ovu priču: Jedan čovek imaše smokvu usadjenu u svom vinogradu, i dodje

In this parable, the vineyard is the kingdom of God;

I reče im: Vi ćete meni bez sumnje kazati ovu priču: Lekaru!

Један таланат из ове приче је вредео око 6. 000 денариуса,

And he said to them, Know you not this parable? and how then will you know all parables? 14 The sower sows the word.

И рече им: не разумете ове приче, а како ћете схватити све приче? 14 Сејач сеје реч.

This parable gives us clear teaching that not only will he that does evil be condemned

Ova priča nas jasno uči, da neće biti osuđen samo onaj ko zlo čini, nego isto tako

But even this parable, tender and touching as it is,

Međutim, čak i ova priča, iako tako nežna

And he said unto them, Know all of you not this parable? and how then will all of you know all parables? 14 The planter plants the word.

И рече им: не разумете ове приче, а како ћете схватити све приче? 14 Сејач сеје реч.
