In the spirit of the Vienna Declaration and Programme of Action of 1993 and in light of the discussion in the Committee, the Committee recommends that the State party consider the possibility of reviewing the Declaration it made to the Convention with a view to its withdrawal.
The most important outcome of the International Year of Disabled Persons, 1981, was the World Programme of Action concerning Disabled Persons, adopted by the General Assembly by its resolution 37/52 of 3 December 1982.
