کیا یہ بات میرے مالک بادشاہ کی طرف سے ہے؟ اور تُو نے اپنے خادموں کو بتایا بھی نہیں کہ میرے مالک بادشاہ کے بعد اُس کے تخت پر کون بیٹھےگا۔?

And thy servant and thy maid which shall be to thee, from the nations which are round about you,
اور تیرے جو غلام اور تیری جو لونڈیاں ہوں وہ ان قوموں میں سے ہوں جو تمہارے چوگرد رہتی ہیں۔ان ہی میں سے تم غلام

مُجھ سے رُوپوش نہ ہو۔ اپنے بندہ کو قہر سے نہ نِکال۔

Also keep back Thy servant from presumptuous sins; Let them not rule over me;
تو اپنے بندے کو بے باکی کے گناہوں سے بھی باز رکھ۔ وہ مجھ پر غالب نہ آئیں

And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be ajustified.”.
اور اپنے بندہ کو عدالت میں نہ لا۔ کیونکہ تیری نظر میں کوئی آدمی راستباز نہیں ٹھہرسکتا

Keep thy servant also from presumptuous sins, lest they get the dominion over me;* so shall I be undefiled,
تو اپنے بندے کو بے باکی کے گناہوں سے بھی باز رکھ۔ وہ مجھ پر غالب نہ آئیں تو مَیں کامل ہوں گا۔

Then thou shalt say, They be thy servant Jacob's; it is a present sent unto my lord Esau: and, behold, also he is behind us.
تُو کہنا کہ یہ تیرے خادِم یعؔقوب کے ہیں۔ یہ نذرانہ ہے جو میرے خُداوند عیؔسو کے لِئے بھیجا گیا ہے اور وہ خُود بھی ہمارے پیچھے پیچھے آرہا ہے

By the Holy Ghost, by the mouth of our father David, thy servant, hast said: Why did the Gentiles rage,
تو نے روح القدس کے وسیلہ سے ہمارے باپ خادم داؤد کی زبانی فرمایا کہ قَوموں نے کیوں دھوم مچائی؟

سو اب اگر میں تیرے خادم اپنے باپ کے پاس جاؤں اور یہ لڑکا ہمارے ساتھ نہ ہو تو چونکہ اُسکی جان اس

اَے مالک اَب تُو اپنے خادِم کو اپنے قَول کے مُوافق سَلامتی سے رُخصت کرتا ہے۔

اگر تو انھیں عذاب میں مبتلا کر دے تو یہ تیرے بندے ہیں اور اگر تو انھیں معاف کرد ے

And he said, What have I sinned, that thou wouldest deliver thy servant into the hand of Ahab, to slay me?
اُس نے کہا مُجھ سے کیا گناہ ہوا ہے جو تُو اپنے خاد م کو اخی اب کے ہاتھ میں حوالہ کرنا چاہتا ہے تاکہ وہ مجھے قتل کرے؟?

Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me:
تو اپنے بندے کو بے باکی کے گناہوں سے بھی باز رکھ۔ وہ مجھ پر غالب نہ آئیں

And thy servant my father, said to us, Ye know that
اور تیرے خادِم میرے باپ نے ہم سے کہا تُم جانتے ہو

I have gone astray like a sheep that is lost: seek thy servant, because I have not forgotten thy commandments.
میَں کھوئی ہوئی بھیڑ کی مانند بھٹک گیا ہوں اپنے بندہ کو تلاش کر کیونکہ میَں تیرے فرمان کو نہیں بھولتا

سو تیری آنکھیں تیرے بندہ کی مناجات اور تیری قوم اسرائیل کی

سو فرعؔون نے اپنے خادِموں سے کہا کہ کیا ہمکو اَیسا آدمی جَیسا یہ ہے جس میں خُدا کی رُوح ہے مِل سکتا ہے؟
