Leave off this, surely the decree of your Lord has come to pass, and surely there must come to them a chastisement that cannot be averted.
اس بات کو چھوڑ دیں، بیشک آپ کے رب کا فیصلہ آ چکا ہے اور ان پر ایک ایسا عذاب آنے والا ہے جسے ٹالا نہیں جا سکتا

They have exchanged the signs of Allah for a small price and averted[people] from His way. Indeed, it was evil that they were doing.
انہوں نے آیات هالٰہیہ کے بدلے بہت تھوڑی منفعت کو لے لیا ہے اور اب راہ هخدا سے روک رہے ہیں-یہ بہت برا کام کررہے ہیں

From whomsoever it is averted on that day, He will have mercy on him;
اُس دن جو سزا سے بچ گیا اس پر اللہ نے بڑا ہی رحم کیا

From whomsoever it is averted on that Day, upon him indeed He has had mercy;
اُس دن جو سزا سے بچ گیا اس پر اللہ نے بڑا ہی رحم کیا

And Allah repulsed the disbelievers in their wrath; they gained no good. Allah averted their attack from the believers. Allah is ever Strong, Mighty.
اور اللہ نے کافروں کو ان کے دلوں کی جلن کے ساتھ پلٹایا کہ کچھ بھلا نہ پایا اور اللہ نے مسلمانوں کو لڑائی کی کفایت فرمادی اور اللہ زبردست عزت والا ہے

He from whom(such retribution) is averted on that day,(Allah) hath in truth had mercy on him. That will be the signal triumph.
اُس دن جو سزا سے بچ گیا اس پر اللہ نے بڑا ہی رحم کیا اور یہی نمایاں کامیابی ہے

(یہ وہی ہیں) جو(لوگوں کو) اﷲ کی راہ سے روکتے تھے اور اس میں کجی تلاش کرتے تھے

He from whom it is averted on that day, Allah indeed has shown mercy to him;
اُس دن جو سزا سے بچ گیا اس پر اللہ نے بڑا ہی رحم کیا

The curse of God is upon the wrongdoers, who averted[people] from the way of God and sought to make it[seem] deviant while they, concerning the Hereafter, were disbelievers.
خدا کی لعنت ہے ظالموں پر اُن ظالموں پر جو خدا کے راستے سے لوگوں کو روکتے ہیں، اس کے راستے کو ٹیٹرھا کرنا چاہتے ہیں اور آخرت کا انکار کرتے ہیں

اس دن جس سے عذاب پھیر دیا جائے ضرور اس پر اللہ کی مہر ہوئی، اور یہی کھلی کامیابی ہے

اُن ظالموں پر جو خدا کے راستے سے لوگوں کو روکتے ہیں، اس کے راستے کو ٹیٹرھا کرنا چاہتے ہیں اور آخرت کا انکار کرتے ہیں

جو لوگ(دوسروں کو) اﷲ کی راہ سے روکتے ہیں اور اس میں کجی تلاش کرتے ہیں، اور وہی لوگ آخرت کے منکر ہیں

Anyone from whom punishment is averted on that Day has been shown great mercy by God. That is a supreme achievement.
اُس دن جو سزا سے بچ گیا اس پر اللہ نے بڑا ہی رحم کیا اور یہی نمایاں کامیابی ہے

which will not be averted.”.
بیشک ان پر عذاب آنے والا ہے کہ پھیرا نہ جائے گا

So when We averted the calamity from them, they immediately broke the promise!
مگر جوں ہی کہ ہم ان پر سے عذاب ہٹا دیتے وہ اپنی بات سے پھر جاتے تھے!
